Activity description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS: It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they have downloaded and checked they have access to the Microsoft Teams Application. This course is suitable for complete beginners. Very old types of desktop computer and WiFi have very bad reception which may cause problems for speaking and listening practice. OVERVIEW / INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE: Introduction of writing and reading system. Covering numbers, times, days, months, counters, asking prices and directions, name of shops and places, simple greetings. HOW THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT: Students will practice speaking with tutor and other students. Tutor will explain grammar in English. WHAT STUDENTS CAN EXPECT TO LEARN: Students will learn some basic writing and some basic speaking useful for a short visit to Japan as a tourist. RESOURCES REQUIRED BY STUDENTS / ADDITIONAL COSTS: A notebook, a pen and a pencil. Handouts are sent by tutor before the course starts. It may be printed out by students themselves.
