Activity description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS: It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they have downloaded and checked they have access to the Microsoft Teams Application. Students should be common with ukulele chords. OVERVIEW / INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE: This course covers the advancing ukulele player who feels comfortable with common chords but wishes to take their playing to the next level. In a relaxed atmosphere we will work and play along to popular songs. Highlighting new chords, strum patterns and riffs you’ll be adding new elements to your ukulele playing with every passing week.  HOW THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT: This course will be taught Online using Microsoft Teams. WHAT STUDENTS CAN EXPECT TO LEARN: Playing popular songs, we will steadily introduce new concepts with the instrument. Building on previous lessons we will enjoy learning new topics with well known songs. RESOURCES REQUIRED BY STUDENTS / ADDITIONAL COSTS: 4 String standard ukulele (soprano, concert, tenor) - Other forms of ukulele are welcome (if comfortable with adapting parts). A tuner. Book - A Jumpin' Jim’s Ukulele Songbook - The Daily Ukulele is essential as this will be used in nearly every lesson.
