Activity description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS: It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they have downloaded and checked they have access to the Microsoft Teams Application. Students should know open chords (A, Am, A7, B7, C, C7, D, Dm, D7, E, Em, E7, F, G & G7). It would also be useful for students to have a basic understanding of tab. OVERVIEW / INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE: Picking up a year after the beginner level we will be focusing on the 2nd half of the Justin Guitar beginner Songbook. Returning and new students will be eased in with songs based on Chords C A G E D, Am, Em, Dm. Then the later chapters of that book will be explored. Highlighting new chords, strum patterns and riffs you’ll be adding new elements to your guitar playing with every passing week. HOW THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT: This course will be taught Online using Microsoft Teams. WHAT STUDENTS CAN EXPECT TO LEARN: Students will play popular songs as we steadily introduce new concepts with the instrument. Building on previous lessons we will enjoy learning new topics with well known songs. RESOURCES REQUIRED BY STUDENTS / ADDITIONAL COSTS: A 6 string Acoustic or Electric guitar. Plectrums. Tuner. Justin Guitar Beginner Songbook. Capo.
