Activity description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS: It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they have downloaded and checked they have access to the Microsoft Teams Application. Students should have ideally completed the ITALIAN BEGINNER course (8 weeks) or an equivalent. OVERVIEW / INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE: This course is designed for people who are passionate about Italy and want to improve their already existing knowledge of Italian for different purposes such as travelling in Italy, enjoy the study of a new language, talking to Italian people they know and much more. Students will add more tools to the grammar they have already learned, they will gain more vocabularies, useful expressions and practice more conversations on different scenario of daily life and also in the view of travelling in Italy. HOW THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT: Students will be explained the grammar and they will be doing interactive activities to practice it. They will take part to conversations (role play) based on different scenarios. They will be given some tasks to complete in order to practice what they are learning. They will additionally practice the pronunciation useful for speaking. They will be doing listening activities for the comprehension. Videos will be showed to continue exploring Italy and its culture. The classes will be focussed on speaking. WHAT STUDENTS CAN EXPECT TO LEARN: By the end of the course, students will be able to use the most important grammar for the level they are in; they will extend their conversations; they will feel more confident in approaching any conversation, asking questions and looking for useful information about Italy. Above all students will learns a lot about Italy and Italian ways. Students will feel inspired to learn more. The course will be a progressing point for students who have already approached this language and want to join further courses later. RESOURCES REQUIRED BY STUDENTS / ADDITIONAL COSTS: Pens and notebook. Microsoft Teams App downloaded.
