Activity description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS: It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they have downloaded and checked they have access to the Microsoft Teams Application. It is advised that students wishing to enrol in this course have previously completed the online Post Beginners course or have been studying Italian/attended an Italian course for a minimum of two years. This is an intermediate level course. OVERVIEW / INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE: The course will focus on revising and consolidating the basic structures and vocabulary of the language through various activities including grammar exercises, dialogues, videos and quizzes. They will be introduced to the use of the past tense in various contexts, making comparisons, expanding their vocabulary and working on their accuracy. HOW THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT: The course will be taught online, using the Microsoft Teams app. Specific communicative and grammar activities will be used through selected videos from YouTube and other online language resources. Task based activities will be often assigned to prepare for the next lesson. The students will interact with the tutor / other students and will therefore be practicing the language for the duration of the lesson. WHAT STUDENTS CAN EXPECT TO LEARN: The students can expect to consolidate their knowledge of Italian and to gain more confidence in communicating in more complex situations, with a varied vocabulary and more advanced structures of the language.
