ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they have downloaded and checked they have access to the Microsoft Teams Application. Beginner level course. OVERVIEW / INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE: As an antidote to the immediacy of social media, come and learn about the art of journalling by hand, why do it, what you need, different types, famous journallers and how to progress. An easy Thursday morning ‘me time’ kind of course, we hope to forge good habits together in a supportive environment, which are beneficial to our mental health and clarity of mind. The Creative Journalling course will provide guidance and direction for those wishing to start journalling or to step up their journalling. The tutor is a published writer and keen juornal-keeper with an MLitt in creative writing. HOW THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT: Online as a group. WHAT STUDENTS CAN EXPECT TO LEARN: The short course will introduce the students to the different forms of journalling; why it is beneficial, how to approach it and what to do on ‘dry’ days. RESOURCES REQUIRED BY STUDENTS / ADDITIONAL COSTS Pens or pencils, a notebook and possibly bits and pieces with which to collage (optional but fun, as per the video).
