ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS: It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they have downloaded and checked they have access to the Microsoft Teams Application. Students should know the basics of pennywhistle technique and be able to play a scale in D. OVERVIEW / INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE: This 5-week course will continue exploring the music and techniques of the pennywhistle. You will learn some great tunes. HOW THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT: The course will use Microsoft Teams and use demonstrations, exercises and hand-out sheets. There will be a couple of YouTube videos viewable by students. WHAT STUDENTS CAN EXPECT TO LEARN: Students will learn basic techniques plus Scottish tunes. RESOURCES REQUIRED BY STUDENTS / ADDITIONAL COSTS Students need to have a pennywhistle in the key of D. “YouTube combined courses Please note this course is taught using a combination of pre-recorded material by the tutor on YouTube, which you will receive a link to, and face-to-face session/s with the tutor which will be via Microsoft Teams. The course is advertised as the face-to-face time only ( enter time or length?) and the video material can be watched in your own time at your leisure. For example a 5 week course may contain five hours of videos material to watch in your own time and one hour face-to-face meeting with the tutor.”
