Activity description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of one year's yoga experience. Not recommended for anyone during pregnancy: specialist class elsewhere would be appropriate. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN: By the end of the course students will have - increased knowledge and experience of yoga asanas and breathing exercises; - learned benefits from yoga asanas, breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation; and - learned techniques which can be used outside class. GENERAL APPROACH TO THE COURSE: Explanations and demonstrations will be used. Students will be encouraged to listen to and be aware of their own bodies and Yoga modifications will be offered to suit individual needs. Yoga blocks and straps will be used as appropriate. Students will be able to take home a plan to practise at home if they wish. MATERIALS REQUIRED BY STUDENT; APPROXIMATE & ADDITIONAL COSTS: Loose, comfortable clothing should be worn. Students should bring their own yoga mats. Other equipment such as belts and blocks may be required and information on these will be given by the tutor in the class. HOWEVER students may wish to wait until the course commences to get information/advice from the tutor before purchasing materials and also to confirm the viability of the course.
