Activity description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: No formal entry requirements. All levels welcome. LEARNING OUTCOMES: By the end of the course students will have learned/be able to: - understanding of proportions and fundamentals of anatomy of the human face - depicting shading and tones in their artwork to enhance their sketching skills - handle drawing media with confidence - develop an understanding of aspects of tone, contrast and composition - understand how best to express and interpret the chosen subject using a media HOW THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT: Talks, printouts and demonstrations will be used followed by individual tutoring and guidance. MATERIALS REQUIRED BY STUDENT: Please invest in an A3 sketchpad of medium weight white cartridge paper (or pastel paper if you prefer working principally in pastels), a small tilting mirror on a stand (such as a shaving mirror), firm hold hairspray, a good quality rubber and/or putty rubber and a card folio or portfolio in which to collate and carry source images.
