ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: No experience necessary. LEARNING OUTCOMES: By the end of the course students will have: • Learnt and consolidated the basics of drawing using a variety of materials: charcoal; pencils; and pastels. • Understood how to use acrylic paints effectively. • Covered the basics of tone, colour and mark making • Made new friends and benefited from the tutor’s knowledge and advice and peer support. HOW THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT: The tutor will provide still life arrangements to provide inspiration and will work with students individually as well as giving group demonstrations. MATERIALS REQUIRED BY STUDENTS: Pencils and charcoal and a rubber and sharpener are essential to the first class. Paper is provided. You can also bring any materials you already have. Tutor will discuss materials at the first class.
