Activity description

This course aims to improve learning and fitness levels and overall body functioning through use and practice of more advanced Pilates exercises. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: This course is for those who already understand the basic principles of Pilates and have practised the basic exercises and breathing and want to be challenged by developing their skills. LEARNING OUTCOMES: By the end of the course students will be more practised at and have a greater understanding of the techniques that can strengthen core muscles and improve posture and balance. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN: The class will be practical with demonstration and explanation of exercises by the tutor. By emphasizing breathing, spinal alignment, and concentration on smooth, flowing movement, students will focus on continuing to improve posture, increase strength, flexibility and reduce stress. MATERIALS REQUIRED BY STUDENTS: Please wear socks or you can take part in bare feet. Wear loose, comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water. Please bring a mat as we only have a limited supply.
