Activity description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: No special entry requirements. Anyone who is interested with Qigong relaxation exercises and Tai Chi movements. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN: By the end of the course students will have learned/be able to: - perform the whole Yang Style Tai Chi Foundation 8 Form & different style of Qigong relaxation forms; - show better posture and slow co-ordinated movements, balance and simple Qi Gong breathing; - have worked the whole body gently; - have worked internally - connection of mind and body, reducing stress; - improved general well-being, increased vitality, body tone and empty mind; and - be familiar with the different Tai Chi hands forms, stances and steps. HOW THE COURSE WILL BE TAUGHT: During the two hour Tai Chi sessions, we will practice Tai Chi to Chinese music to help relaxation of mind and body. The 1.5 hour will cover warm up session with basic Tai Chi steps, hand forms, Qi Gong breathing and a series of Qi Gong practices which cover Qigong 18 form, 5 Animals Qigong, Yi Jin Jing, and 8 Treasures Qigong movements. The second hour will focus on Yang Style Tai Chi stepping movements, hands forms, stances and co-ordination of whole body movements. Also the foundation course of Yang Style tai Chi Foundation Level of 8 Form. MATERIALS REQUIRED BY STUDENT; APPROXIMATE & ADDITIONAL COSTS: Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat shoes.
