Important information

Students must complete a health questionnaire prior to the course start date.

Day and time of daytime course

Tuesdays - 11.00am - 12 noon starting 27th October 2020.

Day and time of evening course

Mondays - 7.00pm - 8.00pm staring 26th October 2020.

Number of weeks / hours

1 hour per week for 5 weeks.

Course level and entry requirements

Students must be available to participate in every session of this course.

All level. Suitable for all ages and levels of flexibility, fitness and experience from beginner to intermediate. Modification of the exercises will be offered to suit everyone’s needs. 

Overview / introduction to the course

Strengthen your body and mind, increase your flexibility and reduce stress. Yoga will help develop your emotional regulation, improve your ability to relax and experience a general sense of wellbeing. 

How the course will be taught

Interactive live classes with option to personalised verbal adjustments / corrections to make the most of the practice and keep the body safe. Modifications of the exercises will be offered to suit any level of flexibility, fitness and experience. Each class will consist of key concepts of Yoga, pranayama - breathing techniques, asanas - postures and savasana - relaxation.

What students can expect to learn

By the end of the course students will have: improved physical fitness including suppleness, strength, stamina and balance; knowledge of basic yoga concepts, poses and breathing techniques; learnt to relax consciously body and mind; and enhanced concentration, awareness and general sense of wellbeing. 

Resources required by students and additional costs

A mobile device or computer with camera that enables the tutor to see you during the class and allows you to interact 

Please wear comfortable clothes - loose and/or elastic - that allow you to move freely.  

We will use a yoga mat and a light sofa blanket or similar in order to stay warm during the relaxation. 

Health and safety guidelines

Make sure you have enough space around you and your mat to move freely and safely. Keep your mat clean by wiping it with antibacterial product before and/or after every session.
