Day and time

Mondays - 10.00am - 11.00am starting 26th October 2020.

1 hour a week for 5 weeks.

Course level and entry requirements

Beginner level. Students are not expected to have any knowledge of the language. 

Overview / introduction to the course

The course is intended to give students a grasp of the Spanish language and provide them with some simple phrases that can be used to communicate at a basic level. 

How the course will be taught

The emphasisis on speaking and listening. The course will focus on simple language that is required for communicating in real life situations. 

Students will practice the language through whole class activities. Some basic grammar and vocabulary will be introduced in context. At the end of the class some written exercises will be set as homework. 

The course will be provided online using Microsoft Teams. The students will join the class via audio and video link and will be able to see the tutor. They will also be able to see the other students.  

What students can expect to learn

By the end of the course students will be able to give personal information, greet people and introduce themselves, use numbers, tell the time and order food in a restaurant.

Pen and paper to take notes.
