Students must complete a health questionnaire prior to enrolling on this course.

Day and time

Mondays 3.00pm - 3.30pm starting 26th October 2020.

Number of weeks / hours

Half an hour a week for 5 weeks.

Course level and entry requirements

Students must be available to participate in every session of this course.

All level.  Suitable for all. No previous experience necessary.

Overview / introduction to the course

Is lockdown taking a toll on you? Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, depressed or exhausted? Do you find difficult to focus, relax or even sleep? Are your emotions like a rollercoaster lately? This course will help you navigate the current uncertain times and discover there are actually easy, effective and pleasant ways of managing these emotional states.  

How the course will be taught

Interactive live online classes requiring a quiet space for a safe and effective practice.

What students can expect to learn 

By the end of the course students will have learnt a number of breathing and relaxation techniques to release tension from their body and mind, help calm their nervous system and manage better their stress and emotions. Practiced before bed, these techniques may help reduce insomnia and contribute to a deep restorative sleep.   

Resources required by students and additional costs

A mobile device or computer with camera that allows the tutor to see you and allows you to interact during the class. Please wear comfortable clothes that facilitate breathing. Laying down on a bed or yoga mat is preferable, but you can also or practice on a chair. Make sure to have a light sofa blanket or some cover handy in order to stay warm during the relaxation.  

Health and safety guidelines

Look for a quiet space where you are calm and comfortable. Interruptions during a deep relaxation may be very unsettling. Please try to avoid them, as well as having pets around.
