Day and time

Wednesdays 7.00pm - 8.30pm starting 28th October 2020.

Number of weeks / hours

1 and a half hours a week for 8 weeks.

Course level and entry requirements

Students must be able to participate in every session of this course.

Beginner level.  There is no requirement for previous knowledge of the language.   

Overview / introduction to the course

By the end of the course students will be able to use simple phrases to communicate, to read and write. 

How the course will be taught

A lot of visual and acoustic information.  Games and fun activities to help in memorising new information.   

What students can expect to learn

Students will have the ability to read by the end of course, to be able to understand Greek people when speaking slowly and using phrases we have practiced together. In addition, we will be learning a little bit of grammar to form simple phrases and to be able to write as well to speak. 

Resources required by student and additional costs

The only things that will be useful to have is a dictionary, notebook and pen. 

What students could do next

If the course is a success, a Beginner 2 level may be introduced to enhance the existing knowledge and to pick up from where the Beginner level left off.
